I had just so happen to click a link to a YouTube channel and noticed a widescreen player. I was like “what is this?” Then I checked out videos that I knew were in widescreen and sure enough it was widescreen! I then tried to show someone that uses Firefox and it wasn’t widescreen. Then I tried every other browser and it looks like right now its just for Google Chrome. I couldn’t find any information on it searching Google but if I do I will keep everyone updated. UPDATE: Last night I noticed it working on Firefox and I just saw a post on TechCrunch Talking about it and also there is an official post on YouTube’s Blog.
