You hear about and you probably even read them even if you don't know it. It's a blog! So you want to start blogging but you don't know how?

There are several blogging platforms out there that you can use, I use WordPress so that is what I will be getting into more than others:

WordPress.org (software only)
WordPress.com (hosted)
Blogger
Tumblr
TypePad
LiveJournal

All of the sites you can sign up and start blogging, most are free. Let's talk about WordPress though. It is what this site runs on and it is highly customizable.

WordPress.org vs. WordPress.com
With WordPress.com the hosting and managing of the software is taken care of by the team here at Automattic. With WordPress.org you need to install the software on your own server or with a 3rd party provider.
More details can be found here.

What about the design of the blog?
They are called themes in WordPress and you can find them by doing a simple search on Google. I added some helpful links below

Places to find WordPress Themes:
WordPress Official Site
Omni Theme
One Theme
ThemeForest
Woo Themes
Elegant Themes

Need Hosting? Try Springs Hosting, they host my sites and the support is excellent.
